LIPA has again achieved a very unflattering distinction as one of the most disliked companies in america. The release of the most recent findings of the American Customer Satisfaction Index late last week show the utility at the bottom of the pile with a seven point decline in its rating compared to the same time last year. In April alone LIPA’s scores plunged 11%. Obviously some major overhauls are in order for the utility who still professes to be well liked by consumers in spite of outside surveys showing otherwise.
