Positive Energy for LIPA Power Restoration Effort

We are mostly in a position to be critical of Lipa but today in the wake of Irene we pray that they do the best job they can to restore power to all the people of LI as soon as possible.

One Response to Positive Energy for LIPA Power Restoration Effort

  1. Rob from LI says:

What I would like to know is this. With everyone agreeing the storm was not as strong as what was expected, to the point that people are mad about it being “over-hyped”, why is it that LIPA’s damage estimate, in their own words, was only half as bad as what the actual damage was? How did they do their estimate? Could it be that they knew they have not done enough prep and tree trimming so they intentionally made their estimate low so they can say “oh it’s taking longer because the damage is worse than we thought”? It’s time for a NIFA-style board to come in and take power away from LIPA – they have proven repeatedly they are not worthy of the public’s trust. When you can’t even de-energize a cable that’s laying in the middle of a street for four days and you not only haven’t restored people that are listed as having critical medical issues but haven’t even told them when you MIGHT restore them, it seems to me that rises to a sufficient level of incompetence that the state should just be allowed to take over.

The public are the ones that need some “positive energy”…. literally.

    I want a refund.
