Public Must Have LIPA Transparency with Meeting Webcasts

The Long Island Power Company Released its recommendation Report to the LIPA Board of Trustees on 7/21 with regards to the future structure of the New LIPA. Additionally, LIPA held a Public Information & Input Session at 7:00 PM the same day at the Touro Law Center.

Unfortunately, there was no webcast made available of this extremely important Public Information meeting. However, LIPA did make available the webcast of Trustee meeting earlier in day. Since the schedule is so compressed with the “New” LIPA decision-making process it is absolutely critical that LIPA release as much information as possible to the public so all ratepayers may contribute to this important decision making process.

LIPA making decisions on its own has not worked in the past and we as ratepayers must be allowed to contribute to the decision process for our future.
